About Me

Hi there, I'm Sue, the artist and lover of birds, animals and nature.

I live with my amazingly supportive husband, in the small Victorian town of Blackwood. My home is surrounded by State forest and so, I am frequently visited by an abundance of birdlife and animals. I dont have to walk very far to enjoy the beauty of the Lerderderg River and huge eucalypt trees that surround it. I consider myself very lucky to have so much natural inspiration for my art, right at my doorsep.

Im relatively new to art, I've only been painting for about 6 years and am completely self taught, something I am very proud of. Previous to this I was working as a veterinary nurse and raising my two beautiful daughters.

Im now in my early 50's and painting has become an absolute passion and sanity saver for me. If I'm having a bad day, you'll most likely find me in my small home studio, painting my worries away with an array of music playing at ear busting levels.

When Im not painting, I love exploring the nearby forest trails, getting away with my husband in our beloved campervan, and spending time with my girls and gorgeous grand-daughter.
